The
main aim of the course is to support students in the process of writing of
their MA thesis, and help them making a significant step forward in this regard by
submitting an important, research-based chapter by the deadline before or at the beginning of the course. The participants are divided in three groups, and within each group everybody carefully reads and comments on the material submitted by each student. Together the group thinks about how to structure a chapter, use evidence, and construct an argument. Toward the end of the course, students respond in writing to the feedback they have received. Having accomplished the work for this course, students will have developed further their idea about the particular, original contribution of their
research, the main argument of the chapter in question, and its contribution to the argument of the thesis as a whole.
