Course Description: What does it take to launch a successful career in the museum field? This course equips students with the critical professional skills required to enter and thrive in the museum job market. Students will learn how to craft compelling CVs tailored to various museum roles, write effective and targeted cover letters, and prepare for interviews with confidence and clarity. In addition to practical writing and speaking skills, the course will address networking strategies, navigating internships and entry-level positions, and understanding the expectations of hiring institutions. By the end, students will have developed a professional toolkit ready for real-world application.
Assessment: Students are expected to understand the critical skills and enact the modes of presentation necessary to gain entry into the professional museum field.
