Question on the Staying the Course reading
To what extent would the study be replicable if people
had to make an important decision as to which one should be well-informed? For example,
if there were an election and a referendum on the same day, the forced
choice people would participate in either the election or the referendum, and the
rejectable choice group would have to participate in the election and decide to
continue with the referendum and the control group has to participate in both.
Would the persistence of reasoning behind the particular decision on the
election and/or referendum replicate the study?
