we hope this email finds you well. As we mentioned before for the first class we would like you to read the first chapter of Making Comics (pdf below) as background material and come to class with an idea of what you want to work on during the term, which you will be asked to present during class. To give you some help in directing you in formulating your projects we wanted to send you a few questions to keep in mind as you develop them.
a. What is the purpose of the story? What do you want a reader to get out of it?
b. Are there characters? who are they?
c. What archival, ethnographic, or graphic material will you need to tell this story in a comic form?
d. Who is the target audience?
d. Is the idea fitting to be worked out in 6/8 pages?
