By
taking an abstract, philosophical stance, students will learn how to think
about sciences in a philosophical manner – that is, regarding science in
general and regarding their own respective disciplines. They shall understand
how sciences function epistemically and socially. We will start with a
Knowledge Café. There will also be mini- lectures and exercises in groups
(e.g., performative re-enactments of famous episodes regarding scientific
reasoning in social contexts). Participants are encouraged to bring their
lunch.
