This
is a joint course co-taught by instructors from the Department of Historical
Studies and the Department of Network and Data Science. The goal is to foster
an interdisciplinary approach to research by helping students master a
perspective that integrates humanistic and data science layers. This is crucial
to be able to produce meaningful work in digital humanities which involves both
humanistic and more “technical” methods and skills.
Since the course is open to humanities and network and data science students as
well, a joint, co-taught course can be particularly beneficial to shape and
enrich the students’ skillset with novel approaches.
