To introduce students and the wider audience to the variegated religious landscape of South Asia and Tibet. CEU’s Center for Religious Studies had very successfully introduced the complex study of Abrahamic religions (Judaism, Christianity, and Islam) in Europe and the Middle East, to CEU. We think it is time to broaden this coverage and include the many religious and philosophical trends coexisting in South Asia and Tibet.
To obtain a pass, students should be present at least at 5 lectures and write short summaries/opinion pieces/critiques of/on at least 3 lectures.
