In this course, we will explore ways of thinking about why we work and how our work ideally fits within and contributes to a fulfilling and successful life. We will experiment with two tools for identifying and framing what we bring to a workplace—for example, our values, strengths, and skills. Finally, we will consider steps we ourselves can take to thrive at work.
The course is designed for undergraduate students in their final year of studies and is meant to complement the regular offerings available through the CSO, including career development info sessions and employer events, the resources on the Career Knowledge Hub on the Career Services Office website, and individual career advising sessions.
The primary goal of the course is to stimulate reflection. Each of you, in your own way, will hopefully find notions and ideas to take away with you that will be useful to you personally and can be adapted to your individual aspirations and situation as you progress in your career.
