The course offers an overview of main topics in contemporary epistemology. It starts with classical contemporary issues, like Gettier problem, and proceeds to various solutions, from reliabilism, through ability-based virtue epistemology (Sosa, Greco) and character-based virtue epistemology (Zagzebsky) to more recent accounts based on avoidance of epistemic luck (Pritchard). The issues of epistemic value and motivation to come to know are addressed, in relation to options just listed.
